DisplayPort is a universal connection standard for transmitting audio and video signals. Its main applications include connecting monitors and televisions to computers, Blu-ray players, and similar devices. The connector takes up less space, making it more suitable for portable display devices (ultrabooks, notebooks, laptops) or for two connections on a graphics card. The practical plug design prevents the cable from slipping out of the DisplayPort socket.
