The original TPU (thermoplastic polyurethane) filament from Ultimaker has been specifically designed for your Ultimaker 2, Ultimaker 2+, Ultimaker 2 Extended, Ultimaker 2 Extended +, and of course, for all Ultimaker Classic models. The tear-resistant TPU filament has a Shore hardness of 95 and is stretchable by 580%. This filament is particularly suitable for manufacturing projects that require the quality and properties of rubber and plastic. This semi-flexible and chemical-resistant filament features strong layer adhesion. Furthermore, it is easier and faster to print than conventional TPU filaments. Ultimaker has also released a new version of Cura alongside this filament, which provides Ultimaker material profiles for various requirements. Of course, you can also easily process Ultimaker PLA with other FDM printers.
