Ultimaker Material Station
AccessoriesProduct details
The Ultimaker Material Station is a filament box that can house up to six spools at a time. Through the intelligent connection to the Ultimaker S5 3D printer, the filament spools can be loaded and unloaded automatically. This ensures that as soon as a filament spool used in the print job runs out, a new, equivalent one can be automatically reloaded without the user's intervention. The Material Station thus frees up new capacities for a more automated printing process in FDM 3D printing. Up to six coils can be loaded simultaneously via the practical front flap. A conveyor system moves them into position so that the materials are ready for use. The recommendation is to use 750g spools in combination with the Material Station.
The Ultimaker Material Station is also suitable as a filament drying box. Via a clever control of temperature and humidity, the inner temperature of the chamber is always kept below 40%. This also allows hygroscopic materials such as nylon (polyamides) or PVA (polyvinyl alcohol) to be stored. The conveying mechanism of the Material Station is made of hardened steel, so composite materials such as carbon fiber, fiberglass or Kevlar materials can also be used. Of course, the Ultimaker Material Station is fully integrated into the Ultimaker ecosystem. This means material profiles can be selected in Cura for the Material Station and the original Ultimaker filament spools are automatically recognized via an NFC chip. The Material Station simplifies everyday 3D printing and enables professional production.
