Additional features: Lithium-ion batteries are thermally stable and do not suffer from memory effect. They operate on the basis of lithium and are characterized by a high energy density.

Notes: Charging lithium-ion batteries requires a special charger that charges the batteries according to a specific charging method (CCCV = constant current, constant voltage). The batteries must not be charged above a voltage of 4.2 volts, as this poses a risk of fire and explosion. It is advantageous to charge the batteries only up to about 4.1 volts, as this significantly increases their lifespan and the number of charge cycles (potentially up to doubling). Only lithium-ion chargers should be used for charging.
