Thanks to a powerful controller and high transfer speeds, the M.2 SSD 800S can handle both everyday routine tasks and demanding multimedia applications.

It supports the Power Shield feature to prevent data loss during sudden power outages. Additionally, it supports the DevSleep mode, which completely powers down the SATA interface, saving more energy than a conventional HDD. It also supports S.M.A.R.T., TRIM, NCQ commands, and DDR3 DRAM cache, and is RoHS compliant.

Transcend's SATA III 6Gb/s M.2 SSD supports Intel Smart Response Technology (ISRT), allowing the SSD to be used as a cache between the HDD and system memory. This provides the advantage of utilizing the maximum capacity of the HDD while retaining the system performance experience of an SSD.

ISRT monitors the most frequently used programs and documents and stores them on the SSD. This accelerates application loading and significantly improves system response time, while all other data and programs remain stored on the HDD. In this configuration, only one drive letter is displayed. The SSD functioning as a cache does not have its own drive letter.
