He was passionate about natural, balanced sound reproduction, which is why he equipped the mono speaker with automatic frequency contouring in half-octaves. In the classic model of the series, the front is divided into the round, finely perforated grill of the speaker, two knobs for volume and power switch with input selection (FM, AM, and AUX for external connections), as well as a large dial for tuning. The latter boasts a five-fold gear reduction with particularly sensitive adjustment, allowing for optimal radio reception with the highest precision in station tuning. A signal strength indicator aids in the precise setting of the radio station. The radio device features a separate AUX input for connecting another audio source (CD/mp3 player) using a standard jack plug. Additionally, there is an output for various recording devices and a stereo headphone output.
