Testo 0572 1001 Temperature sensor with piercing tip NTC

This temperature sensor with a piercing tip is suitable for temperature measurements in pasty and semi-solid media as well as in liquids and air. Due to its NTC sensor element, the sensor enables precise temperature measurements with an accuracy of up to ±0.2 °C. The temperature sensor features a thin flat ribbon cable that is 2 meters long, allowing it to be pushed through narrow openings such as door gaps or refrigerator seals. With an IP54 protection class, the temperature sensor is protected against splashes. The response time t99 (the time until the sensor shows 99% of the temperature change) is 8 seconds and refers to measurements in moving water at +60 °C. This response time increases when measurements are taken in still liquids, pasty media, or air.

For air temperature measurements, the response time is 40 to 60 times higher than the specified value measured in water. If you need a rather sluggish temperature sensor for measuring air temperature, this sensor is particularly well-suited, as it does not or only minimally accounts for short temperature spikes during measurement. If you plan to use this sensor for air temperature measurements in a refrigerator, briefly opening the refrigerator door would not account for the temperature fluctuation caused by the mixing of warm room temperature and refrigerator temperature. If you require an air temperature sensor with a fast response time, the particularly fast temperature sensor with a large measurement range is highly recommended.
