It enables reception of DAB+ and FM radio stations, access to over 25,000 Internet radio stations and offers the use of various music streaming services. The device supports the EWF/EWS radio warning system and Journaline Radiotext via DAB+. In the event of a disaster, the EWF system transmits barrier-free warning messages in seconds to EWF-enabled DAB+ radios, which switch from either the current programme or standby mode to alarm mode and warn the listener of possible dangers. UPnP, Bluetooth and USB allow music to be played from external devices. The large-format 2.4″ (6.1 cm) TFT colour display visualises the clear menu of the Dira S 21i + and provides useful background information such as station or title information and current weather data. The two 3″ speakers, each with 15 W power, offer a full stereo sound that can be adjusted to individual listening preferences using the equaliser.
