Whether in the kitchen, home office, bedroom, or children's room: The compact Sternradio IR 1 brings thousands of internet radio stations and podcasts to your home thanks to its integrated Wi-Fi. Once connected to your home network, you can enjoy an almost limitless variety of music, news, and channels from around the world. Five radio stations are pre-programmed with direct selection buttons: Starsat Radio, Radio B2, Radio Gold, Klassik Radio, and Deutschlandfunk. You can quickly and easily find additional internet radio stations listed by top stations, genres, and countries on the large color display, which can be easily navigated using the practical scroll wheel. You can also save additional stations to your personal favorites list. Additionally, a range of soundscapes specifically designed for falling asleep and waking up has been integrated. For example, you can choose the soothing sound of raindrops, relaxing piano music, or birdsong from the so-called sleep radio list.

The Sternradio IR 1 also offers helpful alarm, snooze, and sleep timer functions. The display can be dimmed in two levels and can even switch from full color to a monochrome view in black and gray tones. When the device enters standby mode, the display can show local weather information alongside the time and date if desired. In addition to internet radio, you can also listen to music from devices connected via AUX-IN, such as an MP3 player. Alternatively, you can stream music from your home network via UPnP to the built-in speaker. Instead of the speaker, you can also use headphones for audio output via the 3.5 mm jack. A power switch on the back of the device allows you to completely disconnect the radio from power. The Sternradio IR 1 can also be controlled via smartphone or tablet using the AirMusic Control app.
