This product is an HDMI audio extractor with resolutions up to 4Kx2K at 30Hz. It is ideal for connecting a TV to an HD DVD player, as well as connecting a receiver amplifier via the Toslink port, allowing you to enjoy high-definition video and high-quality audio simultaneously. The IDATA HDMI 5.1-VGA8 extracts audio from the source to the amplifier using a Toslink cable and restores Dolby 5.1 or DTS multi-channel audio through the system, creating a perfect home theater experience. Additionally, when you connect the headphone output, the audio output automatically switches to 2.0 audio.
