Taulman SAC1060 Breakaway support for Nylon 1.75 mm SAC1060 is a mechanically removable support material that works with all nylons. This includes all nylons from TAULMAN3D as well as nylon and glass fiber reinforced nylons. While SAC1060 prints at temperatures between 235 °C and 255 °C like nylons at higher temperatures, it does not "melt" into nylons and does not weld to them. It is designed to adhere as a support material on all nylons during the printing process while maintaining a mild adhesion at room temperature. This allows the user to print nylon-based materials at 240 °C to 280 °C with a support material that does not warp or melt due to the printing temperatures. SAC1060 is designed to support the zero layer distance between base nylons and support material, achieving the best surface finish. SAC1060 has low tensile strength, making it easy to tear when removed. SAC1060 stands for "Sacrificial Material # 1060". A pair of needle-nose pliers is required for removal. Now you can 3D print extremely strong parts with unique geometries using nylons from PCTPE to Alloy 910. SAC1060 is available in 1.75 mm and 2.85 mm. While some parts will always require a water-soluble support material, you now have a support material for all other nylon needs. Technical details: Tensile strength = 2,200 PSI, Elongation = 14%, Printing temperature = 235 °C - 255 °C and up to 265 °C for larger nozzles, Color = Light gray, Density = 1.24. Note: SAC1060 is a sticky material that comes out of the nozzle, so the nozzles should be cleaned before each print. Print beds for use as a raft: PEI bed = heated to 70 °C - 80 °C, Glass bed = heated to 75 °C - 85 °C, EZstik = 40 °C. Note: SAC 1060 is a sticky polymer when melted, as it is designed to adhere easily to slippery nylon surfaces.
