The SP 150-600mm G2 (Generation 2) ultra-telephoto zoom lens features improved optical characteristics that enable you to capture impressive images. This new lens is a logical advancement of the previous SP 150-600mm (model A011), which was first introduced in December 2013. It includes enhanced overall optical performance, faster autofocus speed, VC improvements, fluorocoating, the newly developed FLEX ZOOM LOCK, and compatibility with teleconverters.

This bundle includes a 1.4x Tele-Converter, which extends the focal length to 210-840mm at an aperture of f/7.1-9.

The SP 150-600mm G2 features improved optical performance and quality for an enjoyable photography experience. It contains three LD (low dispersion) elements that significantly reduce chromatic aberrations. The lens's optical construction consists of 21 elements arranged in 13 groups.

Two special coatings, eBAND (Extended Bandwidth & Angular Dependency) and BBAR (Broad Band Anti-Reflection), ensure excellent anti-reflection properties. Ghosting and unwanted stray light are effectively eliminated, even when photographing backlit subjects or shooting at night.

Another enhancement of the lens is the reduction of the minimum object distance (MOD) to 2.2m, which opens up new possibilities in tele-macro photography.

The 150-600mm G2 is equipped with a USD (Ultrasonic Silent Drive) motor that provides excellent responsiveness and control. The autofocus speed has been significantly improved, allowing for precise high-speed focusing to capture fast and moving subjects accurately.
