The prime lens allows for close-up shots with a wide-angle lens, offering you a variety of uses and creative freedoms. This lens is ideally suited for macro photography, cityscapes, or landscape shots; it is the perfect all-round wide-angle lens. Since the Tamron 24mm F/2.8 Di III OSD M1:2 is very lightweight and compact, it is excellent for travel or day trips. Thanks to the fantastic minimum focusing distance of 0.12 meters, you can capture unique close-up photos with beautifully soft bokeh if you wish. The lens elements, made from special glass materials, effectively eliminate aberrations, thus reducing the impact of light rays on the image. You will enjoy outstanding optical performance across the entire image, including texture. As the lens is weather-sealed, you can photograph worry-free in any weather conditions.

The wide-angle lens is characterized by an expanded field of view that surpasses that of our eyes. It differs from standard lenses by its shorter focal length. This shorter focal length increases the field of view, making subjects appear smaller and allowing more to be captured in the photo. Additionally, the wide-angle lens creates a noticeable effect of spatial depth - objects in the distance appear even further away, giving your images an impressive sense of depth.

Key specifications

Lens type

Bayonet lens mount

A lens mount is an interface — mechanical and often also electrical — between a photographic camera body and a lens. It is confined to cameras where the body allows interchangeable lenses, most usually the single lens reflex type or any movie camera of 16 mm or higher gauge. Lens mounts are also used to connect optical components in instrumentation that may not involve a camera, such as the modular components used in optical laboratory prototyping which join via C-mount or T-mount elements.
