Reissue of a Tamiya buggy classic. DF-01 tub chassis. Independent suspension with CVA oil-filled shock absorbers. All-wheel drive via a driveshaft. Unpainted Lexan body. Dish wheels and spike tires. Includes a 540 brushed motor. Buggies typically feature tires with a pronounced off-road profile and a well-tuned suspension, making them ideal models for tough off-road use. The gearboxes are often enclosed, protecting them from incoming dirt. Additionally, the shock absorbers usually operate hydraulically, allowing for tuning with different oils. A brushed motor is particularly appealing due to its simple design and resulting ease of maintenance. Furthermore, the brushed motor is significantly cheaper to purchase compared to a brushless motor. Kits are model components that need to be assembled and may require additional parts.
