The Astute 2022 is a 2WD buggy from Tamiya, aimed primarily at ambitious drivers. It features a new TD2 chassis and has a revolutionary design. The body shape was designed by Japanese designer Kota Nezu. The TD2 (2WD) is based on its sibling model, the TD4 (4WD), and many parts have been carried over. It has an internal suspension and damping system that gives the front end a very flat appearance. The chassis is made of a highly torsion-resistant monocoque chassis made from ABS. The body is made of clear polycarbonate and needs to be painted (Tamiya PS colors). Required accessories: remote control with receiver, steering servo, 7.2V NiMH battery pack, charger, paint for polycarbonate body (Tamiya PS-), 540 motor, electronic speed controller.
