Water-soluble oil pastels are soft, greasy pastels with intense, bright colours. These versatile oil pastels release colour very easily and can be used in different ways. They can be applied and mixed dry like normal oil pastels, but can also be mixed with water for watercolour effects. This is easily done by brushing a damp brush over the drawing - or parts of it. You can also moisten the pastels yourself or work on wet paper

Oil pastels adhere to almost any surface. On a somewhat rough and porous surface, e.g. paper and
cardboard, however, the ink release is best. If you mix the oil pastels with water, watercolour paper is best suited as a base. This paper has a special coating, which means that the paper curls less when water is used.

Every beginning is hard. Certainly when it comes to painting your own artwork. Do
so it's not too hard at first. Let yourself be inspired by your surroundings, imagine
a still life or use a photograph.
