The Mini DisplayPort to DVI adapter cable allows you to directly connect your Mini DP video source (e.g., one of your MacBook or Microsoft Surface Pro devices with mDP) to a DVI monitor or projector, saving you the cost of a Mini DisplayPort-capable monitor.

The adapter cable is 1 meter long and features plug-to-plug connections, enabling you to connect your Mini DisplayPort source directly to a DVI display without additional cables.

The adapter is compatible with Intel Thunderbolt and supports resolutions up to 1920x1200 (WUXGA) when directly connected to a DisplayPort over Thunderbolt I/O port.

It is a passive adapter that requires a Dual Mode DisplayPort connection (DisplayPort++) so that DVI and HDMI signals can also be transmitted through the port.
