Convert and extend a Gigabit RJ45 Ethernet connection over single or multimode LC fibre optics. This compact Gigabit fibre optic to Ethernet media converter allows you to upgrade Cat6 or similar cabling to an EMI-free fibre optic connection. The TAA-compliant adapter is powered via PoE, making it the perfect choice when no external power supply options are available.

Easy installation: The unmanaged fibre optic media converter has a plug-and-play design that requires no additional software or changes to settings. The metal housing has an IP20 protection class and is an all-in-one design with integrated LC fibre optic and RJ45 connections. The RJ45 side is fitted with a metal tab to ensure a reliable and secure fit and prevent accidental disconnection.

Network features: The PoE media converter is designed to work seamlessly with all network devices that are PoE-capable and support the 802.3af standard or higher. It is equipped with a range of PoE protection features including over voltage protection, over current protection, over temperature protection, and 2KV over voltage protection. The LC slot is compatible with single-mode (10km) and multimode (800m) fibre optic cables up to 1Gbps. A spring-loaded latch protects the port when not in use. The converter supports link fault pass-through, allowing IT administrators to monitor and assess network connectivity at a glance based on LED behaviour.

Compatibility: This LAN to fibre converter is ideal for upgrading computers, switches, routers, or other devices from copper to fibre. It is suitable for various applications, such as on-site use, industrial automation, telecommunications, broadcasting, data centres, and remote networking. Experience reliable connectivity with EMI immunity over long distances with this compact (82.39x20x17.5mm) and low-power (max. 2.5W) dongle.
