Product details
Resistant to external influences with a beautiful carbon finish. After analyzing feedback from its filament users, Spectrum Filaments decided to expand its range of materials for outdoor use, where they are increasingly exposed to UV radiation, temperature, and humidity. ASA, a well-known polymer that offers a highly weather-resistant alternative to ABS, has been used as the basis for another composite material, Spectrum ASA-X CF10. The overarching goal was to develop a material that guarantees consistently high mechanical properties for printed models, particularly in terms of hardness and stiffness, even when used outdoors for extended periods.
The result is Spectrum ASA-X CF10, a composite material based on a carefully selected grade of ASA with carbon fiber filling. Spectrum Filament ASA-X CF10 has an elastic modulus of over 7.5 GPa and a heat resistance of 101 °C, making it resistant to external influences such as sunlight (UV) and moisture (hydrolysis). At the same time, Spectrum ASA-X CF10 features low shrinkage and, unusually for technical materials with comparable properties, easy printing. All of this, combined with a matte carbon surface that effectively conceals the layers of printed models, has made Spectrum ASA-X CF10 a very popular choice in the 3D printing community.
