Product details
Remarkable product enriched with carbon fibers. PCTG is a copolyester that is becoming increasingly popular among users of 3D printing technology. In terms of its properties, it is often compared to the well-known PETG. However, it is important to note that PCTG has a significantly higher impact toughness compared to its larger counterpart. The high elasticity of PCTG, combined with strong layer adhesion, high viscosity, and negligible shrinkage, makes it an ideal polymer for composites. The carbon fibers used give the filament extremely high stiffness while simultaneously reducing the brittle fracture typical of other PETG-based carbon composites. The PCTG CF10 filament allows for the printing of parts with increased hardness and tensile strength compared to conventional PCTG. The use of carbon fibers enhances the heat resistance of the filament, further reduces shrinkage, and gives the printed models a distinctive "carbon" matte finish. With the Spectrum PCTG CF filament, 3D printing becomes an even more practical alternative to conventional plastic processing, enabling the production of durable and resilient everyday items regardless of their size.
