The SparkFun XBee Explorer handles the necessary signal regulation for operating XBee modules at 3.3V, signal conditioning, and provides 4 status LEDs (Power, RSSI, DIN, DOUT).

With the signal regulation at 3.3V, the Explorer can be connected to any 5V system. This board is designed to work directly with Arduino Pro Boards, among others.

The Explorer is compatible with all XBee modules, including Series 1 and 2. Once an XBee module is plugged in, you have direct access to the serial and programming pins of the XBee module. The power supply is also managed by the Explorer.

The board comes complete with a 3.3V regulator (16V max input), XBee socket, 4 status LEDs, and MOSFET level shifters. The XBee module is not included and must be ordered separately (see accessories).
