Product details
With the SparkFun WiFly Shield, you can now connect your Arduino to 802.11b/g wireless networks. The shield features a Roving Network RN-131C wireless module as well as a SC16IS750 SPI-to-UART IC. Thanks to the SPI-to-UART bridge, communication is even faster, and the Arduino's UART remains free.
The power for the RN-131C and the SC16IS750 is taken from the VIN pin of the Arduino and regulated to 3.3V. Communication with the Arduino occurs via SPI pins 10-13 (CS, MOSI, MISO, SCLK).
In addition to the WiFi components, the shield includes a small prototyping area with a 2.54mm pitch. As always with PLAY-ZONE, you receive two pairs of stackable headers for free with the shield.
We only carry the latest revision, which brings out the pins PI09, FORCE WAKE, and the hardware resets.
