Product details
OpenLog is an open-source data logger. It is easy to use and customizable. We wanted to create a serial logger that simply works: power it on, and the logger starts logging. With three Ctrl-Zs, you switch from logging mode to command mode. 'new' creates a new file, 'md' creates a directory, and '?' brings up help. OpenLog doesn't do much, but it logs serial streams very flexibly. Example: >new testfile.txt >append testfile.txt <(send a large text with three trailing Ctrl-Zs). That's it. The OpenLog firmware is open source and is based on Bill Greiman's sdfatlib. OpenLog supports FAT16 and FAT32 microSD cards, tested up to 64GB. A new firmware with Arduino 1.6.5 support and support for faster baud rates is available.
Features:
- Logging on inexpensive microSD FAT16/32 cards up to 64GB
- Simple command interface
- Three modes:
- NewLog creates a new log on every power-on and immediately starts logging
- SeqLog appends to the file "SeqLog.txt" on every power-on and immediately starts logging
- Command starts the OpenLog in command mode
- Adjustable baud rates up to 115200bps
- Configurable via a config.txt on the microSD card or through a menu system
- Power, Ground, and RX-I must be connected at a minimum
- The ATmega328 can be reprogrammed with the Arduino IDE
- Two status LEDs
