Product details
The Digital Sandbox (DS) from SparkFun is an innovative learning platform that connects the software and hardware worlds. This electronics module is powered by a microcontroller capable of interacting with real inputs such as light and temperature sensors while controlling LEDs, motors, and other outputs. The Digital Sandbox is designed to provide all the necessary components for conducting 13 different experiments, including controlling LEDs, measuring sound levels, and detecting temperatures. Programming is done via a USB connection to a computer using the popular Arduino environment. To facilitate the learning process, a graphical programming interface called ArduBlock is used, allowing experiments to be conducted without writing code. The included color manual provides step-by-step instructions for connecting the circuits and includes example codes as well as troubleshooting tips. The kit requires no soldering and is suitable for beginners aged 8 and up.
