Product details
The CryptoShield is a dedicated security peripheral for the Arduino, created in collaboration with former Hacker in Residence, Josh Datko. This shield incorporates specialized integrated circuits (ICs) that perform various cryptographic operations, allowing you to add a hardware security layer to your Arduino project. It is also an excellent device for those engaged in embedded security research. This product is ideal for anyone interested in computer security.
On board each CryptoShield, you will find a variety of hardware ready for use: a real-time clock (RTC) module for accurate timekeeping, a trusted platform module (TPM) for RSA encryption, decryption, and signing in hardware, an AES-128 encrypted EEPROM, an ATSHA204 authentication chip that performs SHA-256 and HMAC-256, and an ATECC108 that executes the Elliptic Curve Digital Signature Algorithm (ECDSA).
Each CryptoShield requires headers to be soldered on upon receipt. We allow you the choice of soldering stackable or non-stackable headers, depending on what best fits your project. The only additional items needed to make the CryptoCape fully functional are a development board that supports the Arduino R3 form factor and a CR1225 coin cell battery. All of these additional parts can be found in the Recommended Products section below.
Note: A portion of each sale is donated to Josh Datko for the continued development of new and exciting cryptographic tools.
