A Super Sonic wave Motor (SSM) system with ring drive allows for quick and accurate positioning of the heavy focus group of the lens, maximizing the performance of high-resolution camera bodies.

The aperture control is entirely intuitive. With a switch for the zoom lock, the aperture stops on the aperture ring can be activated and deactivated as needed. For video recording, it is advisable to deactivate the aperture clicks, while tactile feedback during photo shooting often proves helpful.
