Product details
Introducing the Mosquito Magnum Hotend Bare Bones. The latest improvements to the product include an updated heat break with a reinforced neck and a redesigned cooler that has been carefully crafted to prevent damage during installation and repair. Additionally, there is a new heatsink featuring a wider opening for the filament path. This enhancement significantly improves compatibility with multi-material setups and ensures a smoother, more reliable multi-material printing experience.
Key benefits:
The Mosquito Magnum prints up to 20% faster than any other hotend on the market. A thermal insulator protects the extended melt zone from the effects of active cooling and from radiative heat loss. The heat transfer rate is only 3 W/m*K. This means you can rely on the speed of your print while still enjoying the high resolution associated with the standard Mosquito.
The melt zone is extended proximally upward to maintain a small form factor. A multi-extrusion setup with optimized designs for high flow and high resolution can be created without the need to purchase new nozzles or modify the carriage to accommodate differently sized hotends. The hot block included in this product is compatible with the RepRap standard of nozzles.
About the revised version:
Slice Engineering has released a brand new version of the Mosquito Magnum! These new versions feature a revised heat break and a heatsink with new functionalities. The new heatsink has a reinforced throat and an updated cooler to prevent damage during installation or repair. It also features the same WS2 non-stick coating as our Vanadium™.
