Silhouette ALTA Plus 3D Printer

Print your own 3D models or already created projects from the Design Store with the ALTA by Silhouette. The printer operates using the layer-by-layer method (Fused Deposition Modeling) and is capable of producing objects up to 120 mm in height and 116 mm in width. It supports file formats from Silhouette or third parties in .STL or .OBJ format.

This 3D printer works with any 1.75 mm PLA filament. With just one 500-gram spool from Silhouette, you can create hundreds of shapes. Additionally, the printer is designed to be very slim and compact, resulting in a small footprint that takes up little space. This means the device can be placed almost anywhere. Thanks to the included platform bands that you attach to the print bed, the finished printed models do not stick, which also extends the lifespan of the bed.

This printing process is also known as fused layer modeling. First, the 3D printer heats the filament until it reaches a nearly liquid state. Then, the system extrudes this material through a nozzle. The resulting fine thread is used to create the individual layers.
