Now, after years, the 35mm F1.4 has been completely re-engineered from the ground up - specifically for mirrorless cameras.
Like all products, the 35mm F1.4 DG DN | Art is fully manufactured in the factory in Aizu, Japan, where the highest standards of optomechanical manufacturing quality are ensured.
At the heart of the design of the 35mm F1.4 DG DN | Art is an optical formula that is at the highest level in its class. Although it is significantly smaller and lighter than the existing 35mm F1.4, it delivers sharpness all the way to the corners of the image even at wide open aperture, while also producing a creamy background bokeh; all optical aberrations are well corrected.

For the Sony bayonet, Sigma offers a fast 35 for 850 euros. Open, the resolution in the centre of the image could be higher. Stopping down at f/2.8 and f/5.6 gives an increase of 20 stops - the best lenses on our Sony test camera achieve another 200 stops more.
