Since not all video cameras provide phantom power for a microphone, you can also power the MKE 600 with a standard AA battery. The battery power can be easily switched on and off when the camera is not in use, preventing premature battery drain. An LED on the battery switch warns of low voltage and provides a reserve of about eight hours - enough leeway to successfully complete your ongoing shoot.
