The stethoset receiver automatically deactivates when taken off, preserving battery life. There is no need for the Tourguide to check all sets after one tour finishes and before the next begins. Tour participants can individually adjust the volume using a rotary control on the receiver, without needing to remove the device. An LC display clearly confirms the volume, battery status, quality of reception, and the channel being listened to. Channels can be easily set and adjusted using the middle buttons. The reception range is approximately 100 meters outdoors and about 50 meters indoors.
