In addition to graphic and performance enhancements (from 720p at 30 fps to 1080p at 60 fps), all three games have undergone a rigorous localization process. The English scripts for each game have been reviewed, revised, and in some cases even rewritten. Content that was previously missing from the Western releases of Yakuza 3, 4, and 5 has been re-integrated into the Yakuza Remastered Collection.

Yakuza 3 introduces mini-games such as Mahjong, Shogi, Massage Parlor, and the ever-popular Cabaret, along with a collection of side quests from the original release.

Additionally, several user-friendly changes have been made for each release in the collection, including a substory tracker on the map and the ability to switch between English and Japanese text during the karaoke mini-game.
