The SOL PRO 3D scanner from Scan Dimension is a high-precision desktop scanner for objects with a height and diameter ranging from 20 to 170 mm. It is used to examine volumes, surfaces, or product shapes and sizes by comparing the scanned 3D models with originals or CAD drawings. The scanner employs a combination of true laser triangulation and white light technology. Textures and colors are captured with a camera featuring an optically compensated resolution of 8 MP. The user-friendly software allows you to view the finished 3D models in various renderings before exporting them to different 3D file formats for comparison, editing, measuring, or 3D printing. Aligning up to five scan passes and meshing occurs automatically. The software includes innovative options for scanning dark surfaces and unstable objects, as well as an option to exclude textures. The high-precision scan mode scans with an accuracy of up to 0.05 mm (50 microns), while the turbo scan mode takes only 8 minutes for a 360° scan pass – including calibration and meshing.
