Saramonic SR-PMIC2
Product details
It operates without batteries or charging and captures lifelike music pieces and immersive ambient sounds. The output cable is detachable, which can be useful for storage, but it also means you can connect any readily available 3.5 mm (1/8") cable if you need more length. The output jack is located on the top of the PMIC2, saving space behind the microphone. A low-pass switch on the back of the PMIC2 eliminates deep bass sounds. Footsteps can create distracting, low rumbling noises that you only hear when viewing your material on a system with a subwoofer. The low cut removes them, tames the hum of air conditioning noises, and makes speech clearer—so you should use it for every recording. The PMIC2 is likely to be the easiest device you own to operate. To use it, simply attach it to your camera's shoe with the built-in mount and connect the included cable to your camera's microphone input. There is no power switch or button to worry about. You are ready to shoot. The built-in camera shoe features a metal 1/4 20 tripod thread for additional mounting options. This microphone sounds incredible, takes up little space in your bag, is robustly built, and travel-ready. Please note that the PMIC2 requires "Plug-In Power" to operate. The vast majority of cameras provide this, but it is absent in a few models.
