Saramonic SR-PMIC1
Product details
It works without batteries and without charging, offering truly useful features. The short output cable is detachable, which can be helpful for storage, but it also means you can connect any readily available 1/8" (3.5 mm) cable if you need more length. The output jack is located on the top of the PMIC1, saving space behind the microphone. A low-pass switch on the back of the PMIC1 eliminates deep bass sounds. Footsteps sometimes produce annoying, low rumbling that you can only hear when viewing your material on a system with a subwoofer. This switch prevents you from recording those sounds. The low cut also tames the hum of air conditioning noises and makes speech clearer—so you should use it for every recording. The PMIC1 is likely to be the easiest device to use that you own. To use it, simply attach it to your camera's shoe with the built-in mount and connect the included cable to your camera's microphone input. There is no power switch or button to worry about. You are ready to shoot. The built-in camera shoe features a 1/4 20 metal tripod thread for additional mounting options. This microphone sounds great, is robustly built, and ready for travel. Please note that the PMIC1 requires "Plug-In Power" to operate. The vast majority of cameras provide this, but it is absent in a few models.
