Product details
The light-sensitive Cinema Prime lens 85 mm T1.5 XEEN is suitable for full-frame, features internal focusing, and is versatile due to its portrait focal length angle. Like all XEEN Cinema Prime lenses, the XEEN 85 mm T1.5 resolves in 4K and has the same construction as the other lenses in this line. This means that the length, housing diameter, and the fixed gear distance for the aperture and focus rings are exactly the same across all models. This allows for quick and easy lens changes, whether on a rig or tripod, even with a follow-focus system installed. As is customary with cinema lenses, this XEEN lens also features a stepless and continuously adjustable aperture with side-readable f-stop values and distance scale, as well as gear rings for focusing with a follow focus.
High-quality mechanics and craftsmanship
Of course, the 85 mm T1.5 XEEN can be used not only with cameras equipped with a full-frame sensor. Filming is also no problem with Super 35 mm, APS-C, and APS-H camera sensors. The sharpness performance of this lens impresses even at fully open aperture and can be precisely controlled over the 200° long focus.
The lens construction consists of 13 lenses in 12 groups housed in a robust aluminum tube. The necessary adjustments on the follow-focus or aperture ring are, of course, stepless and can be attached to all follow-focus systems with a 0.8 mm gear. The 11 aperture blades of the 35 mm cinema lens create an almost circular bokeh.
