Samyang XEEN 50mm T1.5 FF Cine Nikon F

The fast Cinema Prime lens 50 mm T1.5 XEEN is suitable for full format, internal focusing, and because of the angle of view of a normal focal length, it is versatile. Like all XEEN Cinema Prime lenses, the XEEN 50mm T1.5 lens has a resolution of 4K and is identical in design to the other lenses in this line. This means: overall length, body diameter and the fixed gear distance for the aperture and focus ring are exactly the same for all models. This means that changing lenses, whether in a rig or on a tripod, is quick and easy, even with a follow focus system installed. As usual with cinema lenses, this XEEN lens also features a rasterless and continuously adjustable aperture with laterally readable aperture values and distance scale as well as gear rings for focusing using Follow Focus, as a matter of course.

High quality mechanics and processing

Of course, the 50mm T1.5 XEEN can not only be used with cameras that have a full format sensor. Filming is of course also no problem with Super-35mm, APS-C and APS-H camera sensors. The sharpness performance of this lens is impressive even with the aperture fully open and can be precisely controlled via the 200° long focus.

The lens construction consisting of 13 lenses in 12 groups was built into a robust aluminium tube. The necessary settings on the Follow-Focus or aperture ring are of course infinitely variable and can be attached to all Follow-Focus systems with 0.8 mm gear rim. The 11 aperture blades of the 35mm Cinema lens provide an almost circular bokeh.
