According to Samyang, the automatic focus adjustment is said to be particularly efficient and practically silent.
It is equipped with an AF/MF switch to quickly toggle between automatic and manual focus. The lens is also protected against dust and splashes.

Samyangs 14-mm-Optik mit AF kostet 600 Euro. In der Bildmitte liegen Auflösung und Kontrast bei Bl. 2,8 auf gutem, bei Bl. 5,6 auf sehr gutem Niveau. Leider fällt besonders der Kontrast zum Rand zu steil ab. Diesen Effekt verschärft Bl. 5,6 - relativ - sogar noch und verspielt die Empfehlung. Auch sollte der AF schneller arbeiten.
