The power connection of these devices is not isolated. It is a step-up/step-down autotransformer designed as an economical transformer for the step-up or step-down conversion of mains voltages at 50/60 Hz. It features a compact design, complete varnish impregnation, and fully encapsulated windings. Installation is facilitated by four holes for secure mounting. The connection terminals are equipped with protective covers, except for the 50 VA terminal, which has connections. The device undergoes a 100% electrical test and a dielectric test (2 kV winding against core) and is tested according to EN61558.
