Encapsulated lead batteries from RS Pro are ideally suited for uninterruptible power supply and emergency supply. These gel batteries can be stored for more than six months and are valve-controlled and maintenance-free. AGM batteries differ from flooded lead-acid batteries in that the electrolyte is held in glass mats instead of free flooding of the plates. Glass fibers are woven into a mat to increase the surface area, ensuring sufficient electrolyte is retained in the cells throughout their lifetime.

The batteries in this RS Pro series are completely maintenance-free and can be mounted in any orientation without the risk of leakage. They are extremely efficient, suitable for air transport, and have excellent recovery after unloading.

Properties and advantages:
- Sealed with a special epoxy mixture and using pressure-controlled venting valves
- Designed for electrolyte absorption: acid solution is absorbed in separators
- Leak-proof: can be operated in any position
- Maintenance-free, no water addition required
- Deep discharge protection
- Lead-calcium alloy plate grid, free of antimony
- No corrosion
- Can be installed vertically and horizontally
- Low gassing (unless overcharged)
- Good charging cycles and output
- Good high discharge rates
- Long shelf life
- Robust and vibration resistant

RS Pro's maintenance-free encapsulated lead acid batteries are suitable for use in a variety of applications, including emergency lighting, automatic control systems, signaling in the railway and aviation sector, alarms and safety, electronic equipment, communication power supplies, and DC power supply.
