RME Audio Babyface Pro

This portable high-end interface is milled from an aluminum block with the highest precision and contains newly developed analog and digital circuits. Thanks to innovative power-saving technology, it offers outstanding sound quality without compromising level, signal-to-noise ratio, or distortion values. The newly developed XLR connectors fit seamlessly and space-savingly into the housing. The two parallel headphone outputs with 6.3 mm and 3.5 mm jacks respectively have independent amplifier stages that are perfectly matched to high and low impedance headphones, ensuring crystal clear sound regardless of the type of headphones used. The phantom power of the two digitally controlled preamps can be activated individually. The brand-new preamplifier circuits offer a preamplification range of 76 dB in 1 dB steps and a relay-driven PAD, offering excellent ON (Equivalent Input Noise) and overload protection values, as well as sufficient preamplification even for very low microphone levels.

The Babyface Pro's exceptionally efficient design almost never requires an external power supply - it runs perfectly stable with USB 3 bus power, as do most USB 2 ports, without any degradation of the technical data. This makes it an ideal companion for mobile recording, even with a pair of your favorite condenser microphones. The extensive equipment also includes an optical Toslink I/O that supports both ADAT format (with SMUX) and SPDIF up to 192 kHz. Together with an external ADAT converter, the Babyface Pro offers up to 12 analog inputs and outputs, making it ideal for multi-track live and studio applications. Any type of instrument, high-impedance or line-level, can be connected to inputs 3 and 4. Guitars can be recorded on the go without any additional hardware. MIDI inputs and outputs with the included cable whip complement the complete package in an ideal way.
