RICOH Theta SC2

The Theta SC2 is equipped with a range of preset modes that deliver the perfect footage for specific subjects and shooting scenarios. A completely new underwater mode allows the user to adjust the ideal white balance when filming underwater. There is also a mode that recognizes human faces and automatically centers them in the frame, using exposure correction and noise reduction to smooth the skin. Additionally, one mode utilizes dynamic range compensation and noise reduction through image composition to deliver stunning night shots.

Another mode individually controls two lenses to enable clear, bright shots of subjects in scenarios with significant brightness differences, such as inside and outside a vehicle or on a stage. The lower half and side of the Theta SC2 house the entire camera interface. The shutter button and OLED display are located on the front of the camera, while the side features buttons for power, Wi-Fi, mode, and self-timer.

The Theta SC2 can be connected to a smartphone via Bluetooth. Enhancements in user-friendliness allow smartphones to be used for shooting with just a Bluetooth connection. When the camera enters power-saving mode, it can be turned on via the base app. With a Wi-Fi connection, all functions can be utilized, including live view display and image transfer to a smartphone, which can be used depending on the shooting situation.
