Razer

Total control over the game with the Razer Tartarus Pro - a gaming keypad that ensures you never let victory slip away. From finely tuned analog inputs to 32 programmable keys, you’ll experience a new dimension of control that meets the demands of even the most discerning MMO gamers. While most gaming keypads and keyboards register only a single keystroke when a key is pressed, the Razer Tartarus Pro can detect nuanced variations thanks to Razer's analog optical switches, depending on how hard you press a key. This allows you to fine-tune your actions with greater precision and gain more control over your gameplay. For example, you can press a key halfway to make your character walk, and press it all the way down to make them sprint. This level of control is comparable to moving a character using the analog sticks of a controller.

Whether you prefer to lightly tap a key or press it fully, you can now customize the actuation points of this gaming keypad and decide whether a key should be sensitive like a hair trigger or respond only to full force. A direct advantage of Razer's analog optical switches is that each key can now be assigned two functions - one is triggered by a partial press, and the other by a full keystroke. There’s always enough room for macros and key assignments, and the 8-way thumbpad for navigation or even more commands opens up a completely new dimension of PC gaming. Switch skills even faster, make gameplay more efficient with advanced macros, and create the perfect setup for any boss fight with saved profiles - eight profiles can be switched instantly in-game using a button on the side of the gaming keypad.

Key specifications

Keyboard type

Keyboard form factor

100% keyboards usually have 105 keys. In addition to the numeric keypad and the navigation keys, they also have a row of function keys.

The 80% format rationalises the numeric keypad and offers more space on the desk.

The 60 per cent keyboard lacks everything to the right of the Enter key as well as the row of function keys.

Key technology

The way in which the keys on a keyboard are designed and function. Depending on the type, the keyboard may be flat, have a faster response time or offer tactile feedback and audible clicks.

The integrated opto-mechanical switches detect varying levels of pressure for smooth, continuous inputs and allow you to customise individual actuation points.

Analogue opto-mechanical switches

Signal transmission takes place via a USB cable, which guarantees a reliable power supply but restricts freedom of movement at your desk compared to wireless alternatives.

Wired USB connection

The input device offers 32 programmable keys and an 8-way thumbpad, though as a specialist gaming keypad, it is not a complete replacement for standard keyboards.
