Raychem RDSS-150 Cable conduit seal

Cable protection pipe sealing for an inner pipe diameter of 125-180 mm (up to 210 mm with extension component RDSS-AD-210). System with sealing sleeve and sealing star. Flexible plastic laminate bag coated on both sides with sealing mass strips. Waterproof sealing of energy cables in plastic pipes, metal pipes, and cement pipes, as well as in core drillings. The patented gel valve prevents pressure loss and ensures the long-term tightness of the system. Easy disassembly. A round, smooth-walled inner surface is required. When used in installation pipes, a pressure resistance of at least 3 bar must be observed. The waterproofing was tested under a pressure of 0.3 bar while subjecting the cables to vibrations, bending, torsion, tension, and thrust. Additionally, chemical and bacterial resistance was tested. Load change tests were conducted according to VDE 0278 Part 1 with conductor temperatures of up to 90 °C. By measuring and calculating the diffusion rate, an average lifespan of 30 years was determined. The sealing behavior after 30 years was simulated and confirmed through leak tests with reduced internal pressure.
