    Ingenious lens

    The lens is a bit expensive, but it offers everything a photographer's heart desires! The sharpness is brilliant and the bokeh is nice and soft.

    a must!!

    The combination with the alpha 7R3 is nothing less than perfection. In one week I have squeezed about 6000 out of my piggy bank but I don't think I will ever regret this purchase. The first shots were razor sharp and incredibly detailed. The lens is also top of the range with a macro extension ring, so I can sell my Canon macro to round off the cost a little. It's not cheap, but you get a top lens with a top camera that leaves nothing to be desired.

    Very Heavy Front Element

    I had the 24-105mm F4 which in retrospect was just as good and had a greater focal length and had optical Steady Shot OSS. The 24-70mm F/2.8 does not and this can be useful for video. The quality of the GM lenses is indisputable, they are beautifully made and you pay a lot for the larger aperture. There are cheaper alternatives.
