It serves its purpose well but there are some downsides.
1) It is slimmer than the MacBook Retina. This means that when it is plugged, it doesn't touch the ground on one side. Since only the USB-C port holds the hub, it is very fragile when it is plugged. The connector is already slightly bent on my unit.
2) The hub heats a lot.

The design is catastrophic in my opinion: a very small plug, not even "clicked" (because of the USB-C) - how do you expect it to hold all the cables that can theoretically be connected to this dock? Placed on a table and without moving anything - hallelujah! - it's still conceivable. But on your lap? forget it! The plug broke without even a big strain on it...

It has quite a loose contact with me...
Advantage: At least you don't have to lug around 70 adapters.
