A little background: The manufacturer specifies a "Simulated Sine Wave" as output. However, this is not actually a sine wave, but a square wave (angular) with a few (usually 2) gradations (also angular). These gradations are relatively coarse. "Pure sine wave" devices also have gradations, but very small (>= 256 steps).
At the same time, active power factor correction (PFC) has been standard in power supplies for several years (because it is required by law from 75W nominal power).
The trick: with a PFC, the power supply tries not to pollute the assumed pure sine wave of the power grid. If absolute dirt comes in, an active PFC is simply overwhelmed and tends to shut down.
Various power supply manufacturers simply say: "Your problem".

Quite funny: As a "line-interactive" UPS, the mains current is normally passed through, so there are no problems. Only when the mains power fails (and you really need the UPS) can devices suddenly switch off.
Due to the high frequency components and voltages at Square Waves, some (cheaper) power supplies can also suffer permanent damage. Often, however, the failures are rare enough that you never need the emergency power, and if you do, the runtime is short and the damage is small.
In short: suitable for small appliances (without PFC, passive PFC or sufficient reserves), but certainly not 1200W computer power supplies.
Why these unspeakable Square Wave shitty things are still legal, although power supplies that tolerate them have long been illegal, is beyond me. At the very least, Digitec should slap a big warning on it that there are no guarantees that the UPS will work in the event of a power failure and that the connected devices will survive.
The circuit board is also cheap, nothing comes of it. Shitty part.
