Super cooling performance and cool LED animations....

Setup: Asus Maximus Hero VIII, i7-6700K (overclocked to 4.2GHz and 4.5GHz for gaming).
This is already my 2nd AiO CPU cooling. Previously I had a Corsair H105. Here, of course, I have a much larger radiator, so it would
be unfair to compare the two.
Under Prime95, I reach a maximum temp of 68 degrees at 4.2 GHz. Idle temp is never above 31deg.
Super cooling, easy installation and see nice LED effects. I went for this tail with logo...looks like this one is floating...tried to take some photos. But am not a photographer....

Anyway....impression of workmanship I find much better than Corsair. I'm super happy...but beware, the radiator is really big. In my Phantek Luxe case there is just enough room for the radiator...but 2mm deeper and I would have needed a bigger case again...

    Full buy recommendation...

Excellent! But in a big box

Geek and efficiency! This cooler is close to perfection in terms of hardware... software on the other hand, it's not so good...
Nevertheless, the system is awesome, the pump is inaudible, the installed fans are very efficient.
I changed them with noctua ones for a higher static pressure and less noise.
The software "cam" is a big drawback. It is sometimes useful, often buggy, the updates are weekly so much there is to do... fire the software manager at NZXT, the product deserves an effective software. Nevertheless, the last update is stable and complete.
Be careful when installing it on the front of the case: the hot air from the radiator heats up all the components. By using it in push/pull mode, I gained 9 degrees on average, because more air is brought by the fan after the radiator. I inform here, having found nothing on the internet on this subject, I have some graphs and temperature readings if interested. Visually, it's very well finished, clean, geeky, stylish! The colour chart is wide, but some are very tuning, others are elegant and classy.

    Hardware good, software junk

All in all, the hardware seems to be good. The installation is easy and the instructions are understandable. The CAM software for control, however, is simply crap to the power of 7. I can't control the LEDs (the cooler remains permanently dark), and only after the third reinstallation was I able to transmit pump and fan commands to the cooler with the CAM. The support from the manufacturer is trying hard, though. But for the price I would certainly not buy the thing again. Google "Kraken x62 CAM issues" before buying. I have now attached the fan & pump directly to my ASUS Maximus VIII motherboard and it's good.

    Pro

    • Solidly processed hardware
    • I find the fan volume ok
    • Pump not audible

    Contra

    • Control software (CAM) is sustainable junk!
    • CAM software transmits up to 2GB of data per month to the manufacturer (WTF?)
