    There are few valid, i.e. rational, reasons to buy this lens. Dishevelled by critics, condemned by PixelPeepers and labelled as inadequate by measuring instruments...

    But these were all reasons for me to buy this lens.     Conclusion? The lens is... hmmm. mythical... Tested on Nikon D810 and Nikon Df, I am thrilled with this lens.
    Tip: Only go out with this lens among people or stroll through a city...

    Noble fixed focal length

    If you compare the individual values with the normal Nikon AF-S 50mm f:1.4G lens, you may well ask yourself why you should spend a good 1000 francs more for a lens that is even bigger and heavier...

    However, once you start     working with the lens (made in Japan, not China!), you are thrilled. Despite its size, the lens fits really well in the hand and is a perfect match for cameras like the Nikon D810 or D5. The focus is right, the sharpness is great and the bokeh is simply fabulous.
    This lens creates images with a really great image impression!

    Excellent lens!

    A purchase that was worth it!
    Super lens with great bokee and sharpness, even at the edges.
