    Usual Moto-G quality at the expected very good price-performance ratio

    Hello, here is my first impression:

    As expected, a very good price-performance ratio. The G5 works absolutely fluidly, super display, great colours. The camera is better in daylight than comparably priced devices (Wiko     etc.).

    At first I thought that the G5 no longer had the 3 classic software buttons, but that they were at the bottom next to the supposed home button. But the "home button" is just the fingerprint sensor, which works extremely fast when you set it up and use it. It has no other function.

    The surfaces next to the sensor also have no functions, so they are still the screen buttons, which is perhaps even better.

    Android 7 seems "pure" to me.

    The feel is good, a little more grip would be better because of "slipping out of the hand".

    Only one charging cable is included.

    Conclusion: fortunately, these devices are not sold by the providers, so one can assume that these top devices with a price-performance ratio that makes the high-end devices look ridiculous will continue to be available at these low prices.

    The only argument for a more expensive smartphone: a top camera.



    EDIT: after two days of testing, I have to deduct one star from the camera. Absolutely mediocre, sorry :)

    Thanks for the tip, then. You can teach the fingerprint sensor quite useful swipe gestures via the Moto app. I find the display lock quickly etc. very good.

    Then still:

    - No NFC

    - 2 instead of 3 GB RAM


    - and housing is very slippery, that won't last long :) ...

    Perfect price / performance ratio

    Absolutely surprised!
    Bought it as a stopgap while my Sony Xperia Z5 was being repaired.
    I'm seriously considering keeping the G5.
    Slim Android without a lot of frippery, speed absolutely sufficient. Battery lasts well     through the day.
    Dual-sim function perfect, memory formatted with an additional card as internal memory also no problem. For the money, absolutely a great buy!

    Price performance top

    For the price, a great smartphone, no major problems after almost a year of use, sometimes a little slow when many programmes are open, camera a little slow in the dark, the fingerprint scan is not beyond doubt, the swipes are not always recognised correctly with the "gesture" control. Touchscreen without problems even with protective film. Battery life in standby mode very good, with normal use a bit of WhatsApp and phone calls I still have 30% battery in the evening, with intensive use, Internet music games email etc. it gets tight.
